Ibland är de enklaste motiven de som hugger till i Ibland är de enklaste motiven de som hugger till i hjärtat. Jag målade den här lilla oljemålningen i somras. Du ser kanske bara en stig vid havet, en av många. Men för mig är den här platsen laddad med minnen och lugn. Promenaden nedanför vårt sommarhus och en sådan där plats där tankarna klarnar och axlarna sjunker ner. Det är utmaningen med att måla landskap – inte bara att fånga ljuset i gräset eller dramatiken i molnen, utan att försöka fånga hur platsen känns. Känner du igen dig? Har du en plats som ser enkel ut för världen, men som betyder allt för dig? 🇬🇧Sometimes the simplest motifs are the ones that hit you right in the heart. I painted this small oil painting last summer. You might just see a path by the sea, one of many. But for me, this place is charged with memories and peace. It’s the walk below our summer house and one of those spots where thoughts clear and your shoulders drop. That’s the challenge of painting a landscape—not just capturing the light in the grass or the drama of the clouds, but trying to capture how the place actually feels. Can you relate? Jag tog med mig en nymålad tavla till receptionen och en redesign av webbplatsen. Stort grattis till fem år och tack för en härlig kväll. Ni är så sjukt bra!

It is not easy, but should be possible to capture the grand feeling on a smaller format that is easier to buy and fit in a home. How am I doing? Everyone that has driven the road from Flakstad surfing beach towards Nusfjord has seen these lonely and lovely houses beneath a breathtaking mountainscape.
