The Kooperativa Förbundet's digital annual report stands out, in our opinion, on a number of points.

When it became clear that I was entrusted with the task of creating a digital version of the Cooperative Union's annual report, I knew what I had to do. First sit back, listen, learn from my client and then capture the essence of the organization in a web presentation that really works.

The project was directed by Marcus Wilhelmsson, Vi Media and the printed version and large parts of the graphic design are created by the designer Pär Ek.

The most obvious thing is that it is made like a website, thus all the individual parts of the content are possible to spread in the easiest possible way. They are worth spreading, because all the individual content is all of a good standard and can appeal to new recipients far beyond the expected audience.
 
My role as a digital editor, designer and web developer in one is to take advantage of that breadth. Business stories at a creative level befitting a lavish online magazine, financial reports and statements in a nice and sober new responsive pink numbers template.
 
More interesting from a creative perspective is the level of ambition and implementation. 
 
The first part, the business report, is created by experienced professionals, from writers and photographers to editorial and web production. In the Annual Report, we ourselves think that we are breaking new ground when it comes to online Swedish annual reports. Well-written texts, excellent photography and playfully presented with cross-cutting work and editing without either templates or technical limitations. It is possible because the editor is at the same time an experienced magazine designer, UX and interface programmer.
 
The annual report is a mix of film, sound, animated infographics, text and images. Carefully used and, in our opinion, in places, which we ensured by thinking both in print and digitally, right from the first reportage order.

Annual report and annual report as navigation
The navigation menu (see picture above) is perhaps the oddest acquaintance. The traditional hierarchy of vertically or horizontally stacked page titles has, in this production, grown into an entire home page worthy of an online magazine. A navigation that in practice is a constantly accessible start page. 
 
It is the first year that KF's annual report is made in a digital version in this way. We understood early on what we needed to do to reach the level we were aiming for. First, listen and really take in expectations and only briefly present opportunities to build the ordering organization's vision. Then to capture the essence of the organization and the theme that shines through for the year, in a web presentation that really works.

The so-called back-end, or if you like, the accounting and auditing part is created in a more responsive handling of tables and diagrams than what you are used to seeing. We have worked a lot on making the report as pleasant as we can in mobile view. Notes to the account are in this production linked references, and considerably more elaborate and detailed than the expected footnotes.
