Assignment: an oil painting of the house Stolp-Ekeby which now hangs in the house they represent. The project began on a ladder out in the field below the house on a crisp and clear October morning. In the first stage I added waving dry grain ready to be harvested all over the field, but we changed it to the stubble which is completely correct for the season. It also turned out well, a little blurred and balanced in color contrast so that the field does not take attention from the house and the beautiful autumn colors in the maples.
